Basic Wireless Network Questions

I just bought a new 15" Powerbook and I'm ecstatic, even though it hasn't arrived yet. I want to set up a wireless network with my desktop, printer, and Powerbook. The maximum distance I will be from my router will be about 80 feet and through a few walls. I have a cable modem and VOIP phone system.

Ideally, I'd like to wirelessly transfer files between my laptop and desktop as well as print from my laptop as well. I foolishly bought a Linksys WRT54GS Wireless G Router and it may work but I don't think it will be as seamless as either of the Mac "bases." So my questions are is it worth trying to work with the Linksys or should I just send it back and get an Airport Express or Extreme and if so which one. I'd prefer not to spend $200 on a router but is the Express enough? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Re: Basic Wireless Network Questions
The Linksys should be just fine. You'll have to use OS X's Printer Sharing, using the desktop as a server, but that's not terrible (it's the setup I use).

Re: Basic Wireless Network Questions
I use a Linksys for my home wireless. Not quite as easy to set up as the Apple AEBS, but it will work just fine for you. (the one exception is if your printer is an old Ethernet based printer that uses the old AppleTalk protocol.)

80 ft. maybe pushing the limits of your wireless access, depending on the composition of those walls.
