Laser Printers aren't problem free. I work for a school district and have worked with several different type. Yes, in general, they have fewer printer path jams, but card stock can still be a headache. And you usually have to feed card stock in the multifunction/manual tray. I use one color printer that can't printer on cardstock because every time I try it crumples the card.

On the other hand I just purchased a Samsung 550n color laser and am very pleased with it so far. Just printed business cards with no problem.

I have an 820 that produced very good images but it was a pain to use for anything "unusual" even envelopes. I replaced it with a Canon iP4000 and the output is even better and the two paper trays and generally superior construction (to the 820)enable it to handle everything I have used it for up to now. I did not consider a laser printer because I print photos more than anything else and as was said already color lasers aren't as good as injets for that. I have access to a number of color laser printers at work and the only things that have been problems for them are transparencies that are not designed for the particular printer and sometimes labels that come off the backing sheet due to the heat of the printer.
