iMovie Organization

I have several years of film that I have imported into iMovie - different projects for each tape. What is the best way that you have found to organize your files for burning to iDVD? I want to make sure that I can maximize the content on a DVD, but also keep the subject matter somewhat consistent and/or chronological.

Is there a way to import edited movies from one iMovie project to another? Is there a way to create an iDVD project with movies from more than one iMovie project? I could import all of the clips into a single iMovie file, then add my edits, then add bookmarks to mix and match for iDVD. However, what will the performance of iMovie be like with one giant project? Any advice is appreciated.

You can import more than one iMovie project into an iDVD project, subject to DVD total time limits. Each will have its own button for Play Movie. You can also have multiple buttons per movie for scenes (chapters).

With iMovie 5 you can actually save the project then drag the little star icon in the title bar to iDVD to add that project to your iDVD project.
