Re: Apple Special Event Live Update
I just cant help but think that a cellphone jukebox is a really bad idea. The phone, however, is quite a nice piece of technology (http://onlinestorez.cingular.com/cell-phone-service/itunes_ROKR.html) even though it looks a little ugly.

What does sound interesting is the iPod Nano!!! Much more interesting that a phone that plays music!

Yep, the Nano makes me glad I didn't buy a Mini or a Shuffle. What's next?

Hey ... I just realised ... they skipped completely over the Micro and went to the Nano (that is assuming that the Mini = Mili)

I still need a Phone right?, so way not have some music on it. I own an iPod and I love it, but if I can carry 100 songs I don't have to take my iPod with me all the time know. I think it's brilliant, besides all the industry was talking about how these new music phones ware going to kill the iPod. This is one way for Apple to prevail and keep it's edge.

Re: Apple Special Event Live Update
Folks, the iPod Nano is not a good deal financially.

The iPod Nano is MORE EXPENSIVE than the iPod Mini!

The iPod Nano is a rip-off!

It's selling at the same price points as the iPod Mini was, but you're getting SIGNIFICANTLY LESS STORAGE SPACE for MORE MONEY!

4 GB iPod Mini = $199
2 GB iPod Nano = $199

6 GB iPod Mini = $249
4 GB iPod Nano = $249

Not a good deal at all. What is Apple thinking here?? Are they expecting people to forget what yesterday's models cost, which were much more cost effective?

Good morning, iPod users, you get LESS for MORE today!

One ugly phone
That is one ugly phone! Apple is smart... they will get the non-iPod people to use their phones, and the iPod people keep their ipods.

The Motorola RAZR is the coolest phone I have seen. I thought with ROKR (same number of letters) it would look like the Razor only with iTunes.

It's too bad they chose Cingular... Cingular can claim "the largest coverage" area, but they do not. Verizon and Alltel by far have the most coverage of anyone.

Personally everyone I know with Cingular has constant call drops and sounds like they are in a can.

I'll keep my iPod photo and my ugly Motorola V710 (although I want the RAZR, I don't use Cingular).

iPod mini gone - iPod nana - two colors -bad move?
The only bad thing I see about offer "black" and "white" colors only is it's going to cause a mini revolt.

The NUMBER ONE REASON all of the people I know bought the mini was NOT the price ($50 diff from other iPods)... it was the COLOR.

Especially the ladies... the pink color was the ONLY REASON they chose the iPod mini...

I like the white one myself (I have the photo), but I think killing the colors is going to really take a chunk out of who wants it.

MadonnaWannaMoney
To quote the Spinal Tap song "Do I Have to Come Right Flat Out and Tell You Everything ... Gimme Some Money".

Madonna is collecting a paycheck through her promotion of the new ROKR. Plus she got free exposure by appearing in the announcement today. I wonder how much she is being paid to be part of the promo???

"What a cow..." -- Does Madonna now sacrifice cows during her shows?

Who cares about Madonna?

<hr />

Me!

Please name another artist that had in excess of 55 singles on a 25 years period while constantly hauling the whole musical industry on to the "next sound".

Having her on the iTunes bandwagon is a great news.

Re: Apple Special Event Live Update
Now, why wouldn't Apple want Micro in the name of one of their products...

Let me think...

There has to be a reason...

Iko, Iko, Nano
