Diablo 2 Installation Problem

When im about half-way thru the installation, it says to insert my Diablo 2 play disc, but when i do, it just ejects it from my computer, like it's the wrong CD. It also does this when i try and play the game, but not when i just put in my computer normally...whats going on?

Re: Diablo 2 Installation Problem
I just popped in my Diablo II Install CD and sadly realized it needed Classic (which I didn't keep on my machine after the switch to Tiger).

Any kind of patch that can help it run on OSX?

Re: Diablo 2 Installation Problem
The Blizzard Patch Page has an OS X Native Installer for download. It just needs 10.2 or higher.

Re: Diablo 2 Installation Problem
Thanks much! Finally playing Diablo in OSX...

Anyone know if theres a way I can set it up where as I don't have to insert the CD every time I play? I did the full install, but I still have to put in the disc.

Re: Diablo 2 Installation Problem
Any response from Blizzard on this installation issue? I'm also experiencing the never-ending loop of the play disc ejecting during installation.

Re: Diablo 2 Installation Problem
im havin the same issue i got a contact back from blizzard adn this is what he said

Hello Edwin:

There was a batch of disks that did not have the Mac files imprinted on them. That is why we ask you to send the disk in to be replaced or contact the distributor.

Blizzard Entertainment can only assist with North American English versions of our games. For assistance with international versions, please contact the nearest international distributor via the contact information available at our International Contact Information URL - ("http://www.blizzard.com/inblizz/icontact.shtml").

For all exchange situations a note is required that explains what happened, what is needed, your full name, your phone number, and a return address. In this particular case, we are also asking that you include the name and location (city and state) of the store where you purchased the game. Please type or print this information to avoid confusion.

Hybrid CD Request:
You will need to mail in the Play disk to the P.O. box listed below.

Please ! send all necessary materials to the following address:
Media Replacement
Blizzard Entertainment
P.O. Box 18979
Irvine, CA 92623

We suggest you use some form of tracking to make sure your mail gets to Blizzard Entertainment. If we do not receive your package we cannot send the replacement.

Thanks,
John D.
