Re: itunes music videos ...
You think you need a new version of OS X why?

The version requirements for iTunes 6.0.1 are Mac OS X 10.2.8 and Quicktime 7.0.3.

Yea I think itunes 6 Supports 10.2.8 so that users can continue to sync their iPods but you need 10.3.9 or later to use the video content

Indeed.

10.3.9 or later is required to view videos on iTunes and also to sync them to an iPod.

Re: itunes music videos ...
If you want to view the videos, you do indeed need to be running at least 10.3.9. From Apple's iTunes page:

Additional Video Requirements:
* Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later
* 500 MHz G4 processor or better
* QuickTime 7.0.3 or later
* 16MB video RAM

Since you're running 10.2.x, you can't view videos. You can try to buy a used copy of 10.3 on eBay, or just purchase a new version of 10.4 from your preferred retail outlet. Those are the only legal options open to you if you wish to see the videos ... and we don't provide support if you're looking for an illegal solution.

An additional nugget: if you purchase 10.3, you can upgrade to 10.3.9 for free after that via Sofware Update. You won't find a for-sale copy of 10.3.9, only 10.3. From there you update over the Web to 10.3.9.
