quicktime pro 7

I've just installed quicktime pro and having heaps of fun playing around.
I have struck a problem I'm having heaps of trouble with and that is when exporting movies I've downloaded off my digital camera, I dont get any sound on the final export. It also says when creating exports as MPEG4 that there is no audio on the original moviw - which aint so. Is there something really basic I'm missing here?

-Hi,
Here is a thread where -ft finds a method.. click here I had the same snag with my Sony digital camera, and NOT getting the sound into iMovie. The dang file was muxed, and I believe I used AudioHijack to record the audio, and then placed it into iTunes. Then w/ the video in iMovie it was easy to import the sound from iTunes. Its been some time since de-muxing mpeg files so its a little blurry. Anyway, it works once you seperate the video, and audio. There might even be an easier way today...

This application will probably do what you need and demux the file:

MPEG Streamclip

Try exporting from Streamclip to DV and then import it to iMovie. My recollection is that the sound will be included.

You might have to buy the MPEG2 Playback software from Apple. MPEG-2 Playback Component

I assume M2V is MPEG-2 Video but I don't know for sure. Maybe you should try a different export. I tend to use DV because I'm usually using iMovie with the file.
