HELP !!! USB Driver for Sony DSR-PDX10

I bought my first Mac Powerbook G4 3 weeks ago strictly to use for photos and copying my mini cassettes to DVD now I can't figure out HOW to make it work. I'm running OS X 10.4.2 .....Any info that you may have would be greatly appreciated. Is it a driver update that I need. THe Sony Camcorder DSR-PDX10 was bought 2 years ago. If I need to driver where/how can I get it...Thank you so much for any help.

I believe you need to use the i-link (firewire) connector, not the USB.

Apple doesn't show it as compatible but that doesn't mean it's not. Your camera does have i-link (firewire) just hook up a cable from that to the PB. If it will work iMovie will open, or it will show up in iMovie if you launch it.

FinalCut will work with it but it's expensive.

Re: HELP !!! USB Driver for Sony DSR-PDX10
Reboot is right. You need to use the FW port (your camera has one although the boring technical term is "i.LINK IEEE1394 DV input and output interface" Cam info )
in iMovie you can chose the camera symbol and a import button emerges (connection help available at this stage). I have an old Sony with FW and it works without problems.
Final Cut is to expensive but it all depends how seriously you want to edit, alternative is Final Cut Express, a "light" version.
