Why do you need it? Are you using Microsoft Word?

The best Anti-Virus software for mac Is no Anti-Virus Software. The are practically no viruses for the mac. I have not used anti-virus software for years. I have never got a virus on any of my macs.

Re: What is the best virus protection for OS 9?
There are a few OS 9 viruses still floating around. While I was still using it, I had Virex installed and it actually saved me from getting infected by a piece of software on Versiontracker whose developer had been unknowingly infected.

In OS 9, I think it's worthwhile to have some kind of antivirus installed. OS X on the other hand can be safely run without protection.

I agree, but It's not me that had the question, it was Z.

PS-You need to hit the reply button for the original poster, if they have "email all replies set" they won't know you replied to their post if you reply to me. And this post is a month and half old.

Turning off the auto play features in your
Quicktime Settings control panel, should
take care of most of the "Auto Start" viruses
under OS 9, which are very rare. So I've heard.
