how many photos on a DVD and...

Hi

Does anyone know how many (approximately) photos from iphoto can be on 1 DVD?

Also can the DVD-R be "added to",....for instance burn 1 year favorites then burn another year favorites on the same DVD R so they are shown as separate years....,,the reason I ask is I just burned 2 years of photos but instead of having them separate years ...which was the way I dragged them in I thought.....
they are all mixed up....did I do something wrong? Thanks, Tonya

It really depends on how big your picture files are. On my Sony 3.2MP camera, photos come out at about 1.2MB at the highest settings. So that's one data point.

Keep in mind that a blank DVD will have 4.3 GB worth of storage.

Actually I think the limit is 99 if you want to display them in a slideshow.

If you convert them to DV (digital Video) first then drag it to iDVD you can put almost 2 hours worth on one DVD. I would use Photo to Movie for this.
