Apple recommends making a backup copy of your Pictures folder before applying the update. More details are available from Apples Web site.

Ha! If I could only tell which bloated iPhoto folder is active.

After the cumbersome and unMaclike procedure of relocating the default location to a 2nd volume (it was devouring my virtual disk space) it seems to be still putting some files and edits in the old location.

Was iPhoto designed by some Linux refugee?

Very nice quality and design in the IPhoto print tradition. Good price.

It would be nice if envelopes were supplied at additional cost.

Absolutely no problems with the install.

Does this new version of iPhoto allow you to preview and select pictures before importing, or does it still try to import every single picture every time?

Still requires wretched iWeb to post post photo to a web page; still cannot work with web pages posted to .Mac with previous versions. How hard could it be to fix this?

Not excusing the lack of this feature in iPhoto, but Image Capture is great for this task. Set Image Capture to pass the chosen photos to iPhoto - or whatever application you want to use to manage your photos.
