Windows Media Player for Intel...When?

Does anyone know when WMP for OSX will support the Intel Macs? Combined with Flip4Mac on my G5, it's a great media player for streaming newscasts, but my Macbook is SOL at the moment.

Re: Windows Media Player for Intel...When?
MS has officially announced they will no longer support or continue to develop WMP for Mac OS.
so it's wait for Flip4mac.
or boot/emulate windows and run the win version.

Re: Windows Media Player for Intel...When?
Flip4mac can run on an intel mac if you absolutely need it to. Here's how . . .

- Go to utilities
- Click "Get Info" on Installer and set it to run under rosetta.
- Also set quicktime to run under rosetta.
- Download Flip4Mac and move it to your utilities folder.
- Open it once it is placed in utilities.
- Install it
- Open it
- Watch WMV's

Hope this helps

Re: Windows Media Player for Intel...When?
Just a reminder it will make quicktime run slower when playing regular .mov in full screen mode so once flip4mac comes out for intel undo the whole run under rosetta. and once you finish installing it make sure to set your installer to run natively.

Re: Windows Media Player for Intel...When?
There's still VLC. It works natively for Intel Macs and will play wmv files. Download the latest "intel version" at videolan.org for Mac OS X.
