G5 iMac fan issue

I used Software update and installed the iMac G5 Sleep Light Updater. My iMac did as the readme said - the fan will become noisy and go back to normal after restarting. No problem. Then a few days later I restarted my iMac, the fan came on again and won't go off. Solutions.

Re: G5 iMac fan issue
-Hi,
I'm no expert since our iMac, and the ones I've tinkered with have NOT had that issue. But as simple as this sounds try logging OUT, and logging back into your Acct. Also see if the noise goes away if you run it in a different User Acct. If you don't have one just create one...you can always Delete it later.
The fan noise issue I've read is mostly when a CD, or DVD is popPed in.

Re: G5 iMac fan issue
My iMac G5 has recently gone through a couple crashes where the fan was on full (it seemed) and the machine wouldn't respond to anything as far as I could tell... like force quit, switch apps.... So I held the power button down.

Looking at the system logs, the machine had a busy night, I might go to auto starts pretty soon here.

Can anyone explain what's going on? Here's a piece of the log (I changed my SN in here)There were several cycles of this trying to work...
