Verizon FiOS, AirPort, and Lost Internet Connectio
I'm having trouble connecting to the internet lately. I'm not sure whether it's because of my new Verizon FiOS internet service, because of the 10.4.8 update, or what. Maybe someone can help suggest a solution for this problem.
Verizon gave me an ActionTec router (wireless & wired). It has 4 ports, which I'm using as follows:
PORT 1: Windows XP work laptop
PORT 2: AirPort Extreme Base Station
PORT 3: Empty
PORT 4: Empty
My main home network is using my AirPort Extreme Base Station.
I get full 4-bar "radar" icon at the top of my iMac and PowerBook, but the internet connection drops every so often.
I called Verizon and supposedly everything looks good from their end. As far as they can tell, I've never lost connection with them.
Does anyone else have Verizon FiOS and 10.4.8 and is experiencing this problem?
My AirPort connection is always full, but it doesn't always connect to the internet.
Maybe my AirPort extreme is configured wrong? Any advice?
