WebPage building software that doesn't suck?

As a new mac user, I'm hoping that I can find a program for building and maintaining Webpages that rivals Frontpage for ease of use and flexibility - that's what I was used to on PC, in any case.

What do people suggest besides NVU, which seems really primative?

I've been happy with Adobe GoLive.

GoLive from CS 1, which I use is kind of klunky and a bit buggy. GoLive from CS2 is supposed to be quite a bit better, more stable, etc. Then CS 3 is on the horizon as well. I've heard that most serious web designer use Dreamweaver which I think has a pretty steep learning curve. My web site is simple, archaic even, so GoLive has worked for me. And it is not hard to learn.

NVU sucks big time! I'd suggest Dreamweaver, it's the best I've used sofar.

Dreamweaver is the best in my opinion. However, it's overkill for many and is expensive. An alternative you might want to try is RapidWeaver. A terrific example of what superb software can come out of the Mac community.
