iMac drive discrepancy?

I have two C2D 20" iMacs, and it appears both use different DVD-RW. How can this be? One appears to support dual layered media, while the other doesn't. What gives?

Re: iMac drive discrepancy?
Check under About This Mac in the Apple menu for each machine and see what optical drives each machine has. If they are the same model iMac, then they should (reasonably) have the same Superdrive mechanism. The 20-inch iMac Duo is supposed to support dual layer DVD burning so if one of your iMacs is not supporting DVD-RW DL then you have every right to take that machine in to have the correct optical drive installed.

Re: iMac drive discrepancy?
Hi
I agree, check About This Mac to be absolutely sure but they both seem to offer dual-layer support. The drive in the C2D seems to be just faster at RW writing...
