Convert filesystem and mount leopard's image

Hi, this is my first post. I would like to ask you some aspects about partitions, because I've already googled and finding just few information.

I am new in Mac, I want to make three partitions. First a hfs or hfs+ because I have a leopard dmg file that I want to charge it from a secundary partition and define with Disk Utility as source the leopard's image and install it in a primary partition.

I used boot camp to make a fat32 partition, but there must be some tool that convert easily the filesystems without conecting via firewire to other mac, because I don't have other one.

I've tried with iPartition and I can see the partition but I don't know why it doesn't work to change it.

Is there another tool like bootcamp, but also to make partitions hfs+ ext3 reiser, etc.?

Could be a problem to install leopard from a secundary partition?

And then convert that partition to install Linux?

Thanks for your answers

Best regards

Leopard isn't released; all support for Leopard comes from Apple and the Developer Connection.
