Only Windows XP Home or Pro SP 2?

Hi everyone,

I am wondering whether XP SP2 is the only XP version that is compatible to run on Boot Camp. I am able to receive a free version of XP Pro SP 1 from my school but not SP 2. I'm thinking of using Parallels but wanted to throw it out on the forum in case anybody knew whether or not it is actually compatible or not.

Thanks,

Sopps

Boot Camp requires XP SP2 or Vista, period. Parallels, on the other hand, should support nearly any version of Windows you want to install.

You can turn that SP1 disk into a SP2 disk very easily, however, you will need a pc to do it. Here are the instructions for slipstreaming a service pack.
