I dropped my iPhone!!!

This sleek little sucker is slippery. I waited until my friend got to my place so we could open it together. When I was opening it it slipped right out of my hand and bounced off the floor. I tried to catch it but it weasled away from me leaving a dent in the corner and a foreign particle wedged in between the hairline of the casing. I got the particle out and that side looks fine but there's no denying the dent. It is taking FOREVER for ATT to register my phone so I can't even use it yet to see if everything is okay. Ironic thing I bought a CASE for it but didn't get a chance to protect my investment before dropping it first thing. Anyway, I had to rant It would be nice to have two rubber grips on the side. I wonder if it can be taken back?

Anyone else drop theirs already?

That's too bad. :-( At least the phone still works (we think - good luck on that activation). Think of the positive, though. You'll still have the phone, and you probably will never drop it again! It sounds like that glass screen held up pretty well, though. What kind of floor do you have (carpet, hardwood, concrete)?

It sounds like ShieldZone might still have a market, if only to improve the grip!

Mine met the asphalt last night when i was getting in my car. Was censored. Luckily, it landed on its back. Both corners on the bottom are scuffed. Seems to be working just fine. Now it is officialy broken-in.

No, you can't take it back. You damaged it and you can't blame Apple. Of course you can rationalize all you want about how it has a design defect that MADE you drop it.

Now take a look at this video from PC World. They dropped an iPhone on carpet, on a tile floor, and on a concrete street corner, numerous times without damage. They also put it in a plastic bag with keys and other standard pocket items. Then they shook the bag hard. No scratches, no damage. See for yourself.

Actually, U can take the iPhone and get it exchanged for ANY reason. iPhone is under a different return policy. My friend did it, had no problems.

Re: I dropped my iPhone!!!
Get a case that protects the corners.
My iPhone has dented corners from being dropped twice onto concrete. The first time it was in a case that slipped off my belt. The case left the corners exposed. The second time it slipped out of my hand as I was removing it from the case. The phone is slippery. I ended up getting a molded rubber case from In Case the provides a better grip and protects the corners.
