Battery Time

I let my battery get down to around 10% and as of 10:00 PM and of yesterday evening it is still is only 3/4 charged. Anyone else having a problem like this or is it just me. Time one is 6:37PM Monday 7/23/07

Re: Battery Time
Hi
A few things...
Apple - Support - Discussions - Phone

Try these in order to resolve it...
Apple Knowledge Base Article #305742 - iPhone: Charging the battery
Apple Knowledge Base Article #305743 - iPhone: Turning on/off and resetting - Reset procedure
Apple Knowledge Base Article #305744 - Updating and restoring iPhone software - Restore procedure NOTE: This erases all data on the phone but you should have it on your computer. Synchronize your iPhone before restoring to make sure all items are equal on your phone and computer.

If none of these did the trick, take it to a local Apple Store for a Mac Genius to look at and determine if it is a hardware issue.

Re: Battery Time
my iphone does similar things too. it takes a long time to charge and then i take it off the cradle and put it back on and it's suddenly fully charged. i'm thinking of taking it back, but since it's been only a few times I'm waiting to see if the next iphone update will fix it.

Re: Battery Time
I had the same problem. It's the dock (cradle). I charge the phone directly bypassing the dock and it seems to have solved the problem.

Re: Battery Time
I had some discussions with an iPhone genius about the battery issue, and it comes down to this:

how's the performance?

There are some iphones which have bad batteries - they don't hold a charge. This is distinct from the software issue of the meter not reading correctly. If you're getting sufficient battery life, you should probably deal with the battery-meter problem, as the next software update should probably fix it.
