Not to be anal, but Guitar Hero's (and Rock Band's for that matter) system of reading accuracy is nothing more than just being able to hit the note within a reasonable time, even if you're noticeably late or early. A casual player won't care but some will agree that having the music continuously play without reflecting the true timing in the audio is quite sloppy.
