Too bad they did not make these new speakers iPhone compatible. At least according to they website they are not. There seems to be a dearth of iPhone compatible audio accessories.

I'm on a T1 line, and their site is DOG slow to load.

Re: Griffin releases wireless sound system for iPo
I closed down their page because I just couldn't stand all the stut-stut-stuttering of the video. Our company has a DS3 pipe and it's about as fast as a 3 legged turtle. Unbelievable. It might have something to do with those massive videos that play by default when you get there. Why do companies insist on designing sites like this?

Re: Griffin releases wireless sound system for iPod
I got as far as "Wireless rechargeable stereo speakers. Digital sound" before I bagged it. I want Griffin to write on the blackboard 100 times "Sound is analog". There is no such thing (other than marketing hype) as "digital sound", unless you're talking about horrendous screeching akin to modem noise. Blech.

Re: Griffin releases wireless sound system for iPo
That all sounds good if you also write on the board 100 times, "I will not take everything literally and make really lame jokes about it." While we all know you're right, and not nearly as cute as you think you are, the sound INFORMATION is still being transferred digitally from the base to the speakers, and you know very well that that is what is being communicated.

Youre too generous to these marketing types.

Even marketing people have a level of competence in something. They are, or should be expert wordsmiths. So when a marketing wordsmith misuses buzzwords, it is either because he doesnt understand the technology (usually the case for consumer products marketing types) or because he deliberately wants to confuse (frenetic obfuscation is the stock and trade of consumer level marketing). Guaranteed the website slowness is caused by the bloat that the marketing department insisted on.

Regardless, I am a big fan of wireless everything and I hope this is a good product.

Why play the apoligist? Is Griffin excused from misusing buzzwords and spreading pure marketing BS? There are plenty of truthful angles that they could have taken and still sound impressive. They're not off the hook as far as I'm concerned. I am pretty cute, though.

I like to think that it was worded specifically to give folks like you and Flavum cold sweats.

I suggest accepting the word choice as a charity from Griffin to you, as you apparently are in dire need of something to feel superior about. Why not assume that they provided you with a comically negligible semantic wording issue because they knew you'd get off on it? In that scenario, they'd be right, and y'all could still satisfy your aforementioned longing for forum-thread significance. Everybody wins.

Re: Griffin releases wireless sound system for iPo
For whatever reason I had no trouble viewing the web site over my home DSL connection. Web site aesthetics aside, I think the speakers look great; the only real question is how good is the sound? I guess we'll have to wait for a Macworld review to get an idea on that score. My experience with wireless headphones is that they don't match a good set of wired phones.

Don't anthropomorphize computers - They hate that.

Of course! Why didn't I think of it? It's not Griffin - it's me! [/sarcasm]

Sorry, but your blatant Straw Man abuse isn't working, but thanks for playing.

I liked the web page. If I want boring static ads, I'd read the newspaper.
