Wow, I have LONG (1996) been a "Mac Gamer," lonely and deprived of the latest and greatest titles. Left out of the Half-Life franchise, jipped on Dark Forces II, ignored on Counter-Strike, hosed on the latest EA ports (both late and piss-poor).

I FINALLY went out and bought a console (xBox 360) so unfortunately, my Mac will never see this title... and potentially many others. Steve forgive me.

PS - xBox 360 ROCKS.

I've been a console gamer since the 2600 and a Mac gamer since my first LC back in '91, and I'm still seriously considering GHIII for the Mac. I just bought Rock Band for the 360, my first foray into 'musical gaming'. I can pick up GHIII for the Mac, rock out in my den when I feel like it, and use the extra controller with Rock Band when friends come over. On top of that, I can probably pick up GHI-GHII pretty cheap for the PS3/360.

Besides, it'll be fun trying to make the guitar semi-functional in Photoshop...

That episode of South Park pretty much summed up my feelings of the Guitar Hero craze. Your time would be much better spent, and rewarding, by learning to play a real guitar. Each to their own though..

I saw that episode before I tried it too but you need to try (if you play games at all). It's hella-fun, serious-lie you guys.

Hi
It's notably different from a real guitar, as opposed to the drums and vocals being much more similar to their respective instruments in Rock Band. My brother has both GHIII and Rock Band for the 360. Both are very fun. My only gripe thus far is the attempt to make some imaginative changes from GHII for GHIII, specifically, Boss Battles.
