Not every Expo keynote goes flawlessly, as a funny video we found on YouTube reminds us. more

Emeril Lagasse's legal team considers its options.

Also, you've just doomed me to cracking up with each and every "boom" during next month's keynote. Thanks a lot.

Perhaps some of the .mac nay-sayers can post a video of Steve Jobs promising iTools would be free for life. Oh wait, he never said that. Nevermind.

Arstechnica always puts together great Keynote Bingos. No better way to throw in a bit of cynicism to cut the hype just a bit on the magical day.

Sorry folks. This is an area in which Microsoft far surpasses Apple.

What was the grey box that had something fall out of it (looked kinda like a hard drive tray?), and Steve picked it back up and shoved it in?
I'm an Apple junkie, but I don't remember this one. Somebody help me out please.

It was exactly what you thought, a RAID array. It's not an Apple product IIRC, just an example he was showing of what people have built for the Mac.

Personally I love the fact that he admits he doesn't know what predictive branching or adaptive semantics are. He's not supposed to get bogged down in that stuff because users aren't supposed to get bogged down in it. Having Bill Gates up there acting like he knows every detail of every gate of every chip just makes the learning curve seem steeper.

Didn't he also toss a Rockr?

The RAID array was powered by a PowerBook G3's battery, thats what fell out. And once where he was showing how easy it is to use a camera with your mac and it would not work, he threw it and someone picked it up and I believe kept it.
