I wonder if us iPhone users will be able to log in somehow and use unlimited wireless for our laptops? Any word on that?

It would be good if MacWorld, ATT and Starbucks make it clear what services will be offered to iPhone users. This is an obvious question with what I believe should have an obvious answer. Free WiFi access to iPhone users. It would benefit all - clear, simple and attractive to all parties.

Somebody's going to have to change Apple's/AT&T's mind on that first. Last time I read the TOS, using the iPhone as a tethered internet connection for another device such as a laptop was a violation of the Terms of Service.

Business Week carried the same story, but included this:

AT&T also is giving Starbucks' more than 100,000 U.S. employees free wireless accounts and said it will soon extend the Wi-Fi at Starbucks to its wireless phone customers. The company announced no details or time frame for the expansion.

Would've been nice if Macworld had thought to include this information here! It's a rather obvious bit to include, for an iPhone forum?

Starbucks just DOESN'T get it! They're are one of only a hand full of coffee shops that charge for internet access. Most shops are free as long as you're buying coffee/food, no 2hr limit per day. So I guest one could have coffee at Starbucks in the morning and go to a different coffee shop in the afternoon or evening. Oh by the way Caribou Coffee while not nationwide, yet, is always free, with no limits.
