Reading pdf files with iphone

hi, is there a way to read/store pdf files, offline, with the iphone?

Technically, I don't think there is a real easy way. But I believe if you email the file to yourself, that because the iPhone can read PDF documents in Mail. If you receive the message while offline I think you can likely read it while offline.

It looks as if you could do essentially the same thing by uploading files you want to your own web address. In fact, this thread has given me a very useful idea. I am going to be hiking for six months and have numerous files to reference, including spreadsheets, PDFs and maps. I'm just going to build pages for them. Thanks for this thread.
