Security Update upsets Pogo Games

Since installing the latest security update, Pogo game rooms will not open. The Java sign appears but then I get a message saying something is wrong and I should check the URL or go to the Pogo home page. I have done all the usual things such as emptying the caches and repairing permissions, but the problem persists . Something seems strange but I cannot discover what might be wrong.

Try logging OUT and then back in. Also, what happens if you use a different browser?

Logging out and then back in does not solve. When I try in Firefox I get a message saying Java not found or not working and suggesting it needs to be upgraded or reinstalled. I am using J2SE 5.0 and do not know how to reinstall. Help appreciated.

-Hi,

Check first to make sure you don't already have J2SE 5.0; Applications/Utilities/Java

Thanks,but as mentioned before I do already have J2SE 5.0 installed. The link you provided is for an item that is said to be for OSX 10.4. Will it work with Leopard? I want to be sure before I try. Thanks for your help.

I must have made a typo since you do have J2SE 5.0 ..looks like other folks have snags too. Since I don't use OSX 10.5.x yet I hate to stick my neck out. I believe that version is used w/ Leopard tho. Peek at the Apple Discussion boards since others also have snags w/ the Security Update:

Thanks for trying to help. As suggested in another forum, I downloaded and reinstalled the 10.5.2 Combo Update. I then logged out of Pogo and logged back in again, something I had tried before without success, and this time it worked.

The same problem has started again. What can I do? Pogo say they have minimum support for Macs.
