For those of us that don't have BBC America, it would have been nice to offer a free episode so we can see what the different shows are all about.

$2 dollars? I don't think 2 dollars is much to invest to quench your curiosity.

$2.00 in the US is now HALF A GALLON of 87 gas. Yeah, it's a bit much. :-)

I'd love to see "The IT Crowd" and "Top Gear" made available on the BBC's iTunes store. Check them out on YouTube and you'll understand.

Not compared to what petrol costs in the UK! ;)

Check out Torchwood. It is based on a character and storyline from the Dr. Who series. It is my favorite BBC America program!

Episodes of Dr. Who and MI6 would be great too.

It's actually MI-5 (called Spooks in the UK), and I wholeheartedly agree (one of my favorite shows along with Top Gear)

Re: BBC America content comes to U.S. iTunes Store
As ronincali said, TOP GEAR!!! I pray to thee, o higher power, to make available all of Top Gear's episodes, past and present...

If you have even a passing interest in cars, you should check this show out. The show's three presenters have, in my humble opinion, the greatest job in the world (sorry MacWorld guys, they have it better :)

Not only do they get to test amazing automobiles, but they also do ridiculously fun things like race Winnebagos around a track, or organize a soccer game with a giant ball and subcompacts as the players. You have to see it to believe it.

The show is shot and edited extremely well, and I, for one, would gladly pay $10, heck, $20 an episode for a good, non-You Tube copy. I mean it.

Whew, I'm all riled up now. I need to go drive something really fast.

haha...thanks for the correction.

although, I did manage to watch one episode on the BBC website for it. They don't have all the seasons though.

until we get it on iTunes, there's that.

Touché my friend. You are correct. Not to mention that we love our gas guzzler vehicles in the "colonies". ;-)

$2.00 is a bargain actually for Torchwood and for other BBC shows. Have you seen what they charge for the DVD's? I'm sure the current weakness of the US dollar has some to do with it but holy ****. $55-$75 for a 13 episode series.

The thing that makes "Top Gear" so good is that they make no apologies for having an opinion or unpopular likes and dislikes.

There are not 3 hosts of "Top Gear", but 4. Don't forget The Stig "our tamed race driver."

So do the Brits. The Land Rovers look really funny going down those small village streets in England.

What many Americans don't realize is that 81% of the price of petrol in England is tax (2000). So there is a reason their fuel costs over twice as much as our ~$3.50 average. They have duty and then a VAT applied to the combination of fuel + duty, which would be double taxation here.

In many cases, the higher cost of living in Europe is due to excessive taxation.
