Another handy feature is the date edit function, that allows you to go back and change the date and time on which a photo was recorded when it is taken. This means users can, for example, go back and correct pictures if they forget to change the camera settings when they arrived in a new time zone.

Sounds like a great way to falsify evidence. (I think that time stamps on consumers' digital photos are not strong enough to use in a court of law.) But, say, you are at a bar with your pals, take some pictures with them, but later you pick up a girl and go to her place. When you get home late, your wife questions you, but you've adjusted the time stamps on your pictures to make it look like you were at the bar the whole evening. You might get away with it, unless you're wearing your shirt inside out. ;)

What is it's class?

I bought my daughter an Exilim EX-Z80A a few months ago and it is 3.5 x 2 x <0.75". The only difference I see is the 4x zoom instead of our 3x. Is one more X of zoom put a camera in a new class?

Frankly, it's hard to understand that a professional journalist would not understand that this article is not useful without a picture of the item. Has that ever crossed your mind? Thanks

I do like the sound of going to a 28mm equivalent in a compact. I love me some wideangles.
