1. I am connected to our old (very old!) Workgroup Server through AppleTalk. When copying folders (with files inside) from the server to my hard drive I get the following errors:

<!> Sorry, the operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occured (Error code -49). <OK>
or
<!> The operation cannot be completed because one or more required items cannot be found. (Error code -43). <OK>

To work around this, I have been able to open the folders and copy just the files one at a time.

2. I was copying a number of files from a CD to my hard drive and received a similar message:
<!> Sorry, the operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occured (Error code -8084). <OK>
I tried copying the files one at a time, but that didn't work for some of the files.
I eventually restarted in OS 9.2.2 and copied the files without one problem.

Does anyone know what could be the root of the problem? I originally suspected the server connection, but the I think the CD problem eliminated that possibility.
