MBP running pretty hot...

My MBP has been running really hot lately. I bought it new at the end of June. I know people have mentioned downloading programs to control the fan speed. is that the best option for me? I havent heard the fan kick on as much as I did when i first bought it so I think the fan is the problem...? I am not extremely comfortable messing with complicated settings for the fan that could potentially ruin my MBP, so something that would be a simple fix would be very helpful... Thanks in advance

I would probably take it to a genus at an Apple Store.

You spent way to much $$ to take a chance here.

I don't have a MB P, rather just a MB , but doesn't sound right too me.

Are you doing any intensive video processing or any processing in general when you notice the surge in heat?

Since you are still under warranty I would be rushing off to the nearest Apple Store ASAP.

That just doesn't sound right to me.

I reset my SMU and the fans now control the heat much better. CPU hovers in the mid 40's, not 60's.
