Re: eMusic hits 250 million downloads
Wasn't eMusic the first (legal) mp3 download site? The company has really remained committed to the idea of selling mp3s online, and for that they should be commended. With no comparable hardware to partner with (e.g., iPod with iTMS), this seems like a strong showing. Competition is always good in this market.

Re: eMusic hits 250 million downloads
I've been signed up to emusic for a long time now. You do need to realize that the selection is far from complete. Even many Indie bands have incomplete catalogs there. Still, I have been able to download so much music and find so much music, and there's always more I want to download. There are times when I'm unsure if my subscription makes sense, but they always pass and I end up running out of download credits before I'm finished downloading. Definitely recommend it.
