Why people expect anyone to support unsupported things is beyond me. It doesn't matter if Apple deliberately blocked a hack or inadvertently disabled it. Apple is under no obligation to ensure that unsupported hacks continue to work. None. Period. It doesn't matter how popular the hack is.
Again, Daring Fireball had this right last year. Gruber's post was regarding the iPhone 1.1.1 update, but the logic works for any software hack.
