Apologies on the frame rate of that video -- it was an experiment with ScreenFlow and an iSight camera that half worked, half didn't. I promise my next video will be less choppy.

Re: Publish iWeb pages without MobileMe
While on this subject of uploading an iWeb site to a non-MobileMe server, it would be interesting to know what features available in iWeb will not work anywhere other than in a MobileMe account.

I am fine with the rough video, but the out of sync sound can make one nauseous.

Wow Jason. Just a week ago, I was having some trouble, uploading a folder I made on iWeb to a domain I had just purchased. This is exactly what I was looking for!

Re: Publish iWeb pages without MobileMe
I'm a former PC user, have a website made with FrontPage, and am looking for a Mac program to edit and maintain my existing site. Can I do this with iWeb?

Re: Publish iWeb pages without MobileMe
Color me dense, but how is this different than just using my FTP client to copy the files to my server after publishing to a folder?

Re: Publish iWeb pages without MobileMe
It does look that way, doesn't it. Although from the video, it looks like someone (which tool?) keeps track of changes - in order for the 'next time it will download faster'. But yes, saving to a folder and just dragging with transmit or so would do the same...

Re: Publish iWeb pages without MobileMe
I think that all those who are struggling with iWEB and SEO should read this, I copied it from apple site so should be treat like turotial or something...

When it comes to iWEB you have take into consideration various factors e.g. optimisation for SEO and easy to navigate page. SEO is the biggest leak of iWEB.

I have just found on SEO offline magazine, featuring company based in London, they just explained SEO techniques used in iWEB. Web site is just stunning.

Go and check your self http://www.mogio.co.uk

1. clear text (veranda);
2. tags instead menu (see page source);
3. image of xxx text over the images;
3. key word in image names, alt, titles;
4. meta tags;
5. a web site is updated something like every day;

Future more moGio will answer all you questions just contact them and ask about help and advice.

P.S.

Seems like plumber going forward;-)
