And reading through this thread, and facing all the same frustrations but finally deciding that I have neither the time, the inclination nor the desire to start over again, I'll go back to Q2007.

BUT: If I were on the Microsoft Mac Development team, I think I'd start thinking about a way to make MS Money truly Mac centric and forget about adding more and more bloat to the Office Suite.

Might win some points for MS.

Quicken for Mac stinks. They have left out key features that are included in the Windows version (stock option handling, for example) for years and don't care. Their support is nonexistent.

Quickbooks Mac is ridiculous. I have a Quickbooks (Windows) system on my network with a nice server - but the Mac version won't access the server file. WTF? They can't even figure out how to network the Mac version of the program.

Quickbooks Point of Sale is a nightmare (its common moniker 'POS' is highly appropriate). I spent days trying to figure out how to get it to work on Vista - and finally figured it out on my own (the version of dot net that comes with Vista isn't compatible with QB POS, so I had to upgrade it manually). Meanwhile, the Intuit tech support in India kept telling me to uninstall the program and reinstall it (having done so 6 times already, I didn't see the sense so I finally gave up on them). Heck, they even had me reinstall Vista twice. Then, to make matters worse, we upgraded our server and wanted to move the data file to the new server. In order to do so, we had to uninstall and reinstall POS on every single client machine!!!

Their tax software actually isn't bad, but that's not enough. I'm now using H&R Block tax software on general principles.
