pop UNDER blocking

I am getting buried in pop UNDER ads from Netflix, a site I have never been to. There are a few other pop-under ads getting through also but Netflix is far and away the biggest abuser. I have called Netflix but of course they no nothing about how to stop these pop-under ads.

I have 10.5.6, Safari 3.2.1 with pop ups blocked.

Is there a way to block pop-under ads?

Thanks.

Re: pop UNDER blocking

The most common reason for these normally blocked popups/pop-unders is flash and other plugins. Some Flash is embedded in the page, and some JavaScript on the page references the Flash plugin, and tells it to open a window. Disabling Flash or using an extension such as FlashBlock can reduce the occurrence to be sure. Also, it might not be a bad idea to download PithHelmet 2.8.4 to help block more ads in your Safari browser. If you need more mac support feel free to contact me on my website linked here.

Re: pop UNDER blocking

-Hi,

Have you ever tried to STOP junk mail where you live? Its impossible. These ad coders are very sophisticated at what they do. You can curb it a tad, but nothing works 100 percent. Most know how to get around 'pop-up ad busters'. :(
