Let's see if Apple allows this application to go through. If it does, it should be great. I have Sling on my existing phone, and as nice as it is on that one, the iPhone'e 3.5" VGA screen would be even better.

Won't this app cause you to reach the transfer cap rather quickly?

If Sling played by all the rules Apple will face a restraint of trade lawsuit from Sling if they block it. VG

Well, they could limit the use to WiFi only. There is a very specific rule in the iPhone SDK agreement that does not allow "streaming" over cellular networks, if it would place an undue burden on the network. Apple has applied this rule at times, and other times has closed an eye. We'll see what they do with Sling.

I sought out the Sling booth at Macworld, saw the demo, and asked two questions: "When?" and "How much?" The booth guy told me that they didn't have pricing set yet, but to look at other smartphone Sling clients as a guide. The "when?" question was sort of answered in the way naptune characterized it. He said that they were still figuring out the bandwidth issue and it would be released as soon as they came to a conclusion.
