ATT Switch-Over

I am a Verizon user. I am painfully waiting for my 10 more months of contract are up and I can switch to ATT. I know that canceling a plan is painfully expensive. But I just lost my cell phone yesterday snowboarding, and I don't want to get a new one just to last me 10 months.

Have any of you in my situation gotten an ATT service rep to "give you a deal" that made the switch-over much less painful? I really want to get on the iphone/att as soon as possible!

Let me know if there is some hope of getting a deal

thanks all.

It's Verizon you need to deal with not AT&T ... It's usually $175 to get out of the contract.
Looks like those guys on TV will be following you around for the next 10 months . . .

10 months isn't too long - November 5th, 2009... it could be worse like 24 months from now . . .
