Good A4 inkjet printer for non-photo pictures (graphics)
Hi everyone.
I am looking for a good inkjet printer for printing art work designs (rather than photos) in photoshop.
I am very frustrated with my brother dcp-115c at the moment as it is just incapable of printing what I have on my screen in photoshop. My monitor is well calibrated and resolution, colour profiles etc are ok. I have paid for some A3+ laser print outs of my designs and the quality and differentials in colour & subtlety are much improved when I do this. However I would like to be able to print out A4 versions at home and not have to run round to the print shop each time.
I did buy the dcp-115c last year which was very cheap as I was strapped for cash and it is an all-in-one with cheaper ink replacements. I also considered the canon pixma mp170 for a similar price which maybe I should have got. The few photos I've printed out have turned out not too badly. But the printer struggles with purples (the most) and blues/reds for art work.
I would like to buy another printer. I can keep the brother for the scanner and cheap text print outs but I want something else for my art work designs. I don't need any special features beyond being able to print out on A4 (in excellent colour quality!).
I am still not looking to spend too much money as I haven't got very much of it. Up to £75 ($150) would be ok. Have you any recommendations? Thanks.
