Retrospect ignoring .numbers files

I've been using Retrospect to back up my data for years. Currently I'm using version 6.1.126 with 10.4.11 on my G4. I do an automatic nightly backup from my data partition to a separate hard drive. And once a month I backup to a CD. I've just needed to recover a Numbers spreadsheet, and am horrified to find that the file is not in my nightly backup. None of my numbers spreadsheet seem to have been backed up! Has anyone else noticed that Retrospect just doesn't back up files with names ending in .numbers? Or is this just on my machine? Any idea what might be the cause? Help! PLEASE! Update next day. I'm now using latest Retrospect 6.1.138 and I've done everything its Read Me suggests. I then went to the EMC Retrospect web-site and downloaded the article about the problem. And everything there has already been implemented. But to no avail - my .numbers spreadsheets are still NOT being backed up. Hmmm indeed!

Re: Retrospect ignoring .numbers files
Durn, Cris! You would have to ask about NUMBERS files. The only ones on our ethernetlet are on Leslye's disks. Hell to find anything in there. But I will be dipped in naughtyword. Not a single NUMBERS file on the latest retrospect (6.1.138) backup. Well, one, but it was a ZIP'd file. Hmmm. Later: This might be the culprit and the solution http://kb.dantz.com/display/2n/articleDirect/index.asp?aid=9632&r=0.9854853 Message was edited by: Al Bloom 5/1/08

Re: Retrospect ignoring .numbers files
Save them in Excel format, too. At least that way they'll be backed up. Yes, that's a ratty answer, but it's all I can come up with.
