Have you checked Appearance or Desktop & Screen Saver in System Preferences? If its not there for the change maybe I'm missing something about the color scheme...
No, it's not in the preferences. I've seen this before. It's caused by pressing a combination of keys. This, I seem to have done accidentally but don't remember the combination.
This is a feature of Mac OS X, Universal Access, located in the system preferences. Press the key combination: control - option - command - 8 to change the screen back to normal.
