just ordered macbook pro 17in 2.6ghz=excited

So I just ordered that new macbook pro and i was wondering if i should have gotten the hi-res screen. I am going to be doing video editing, graphics and music, among other things with it and i got the standard wide screen display. Does anyone know if there is a huge difference between the two screens and would it be worth it to have gotten the hi res one? I am sure that i'm going to be happy with this one but i was just wondering. This is my first Mac also.

Apple does not offer any sort of "hi-res" screen options. They do offer matte and glossy but the resolutions are identical 1680 by 1050 for the 17" MBP

BBBP, of course MacosNerd is mistaken. Apple does offer high resolution 1920 by 1200 pixels LED screens on the 17in MBP. I don't have a hi-res but I am happy with my standard screen for video editing and graphics. Since the computers are on display in Apple stores, some people check them out there or browse for reviews prior to buying. ;-) You should like your computer.

Oops,

so I am. Sorry about that, I was looking at the specifications on apple.com and it clearly had a single resolution for the 17"

My mistake.
