How can I control page viewing options in MS Word 2008?

Hi, I have a small problem which I cant seem to fix even by going into Word Preferences so thought id ask around here.

Say Im on page 1 of a MS Word document and I create a page 2. Instead of appearing below page 1 (ie. vertically), it appears adjacent to it, so I have 2 pages lying open side by side. This is pretty disturbing to my eyes and i want to go back to the normal vertical page alignment. Can anyone help?

PS. I will say, though, that 2 pages open side by side does have its benenfits, specially when you're proofreading a document.

I absolutely love the feature myself, but you can turn it off by going into preferences/view/ and uncheck wrap to window in the window section. You can also resize the window and the page will move to the bottom.

Have you tried just resizing the window and making it smaller? Failing that, try View > Normal
