Dual Layer DVD replacement for 20" G5 iMac

I have a G5 20" iMac.

I would like to replace the DVD for one that will do Dual Layer burn.

Of course I can pay for an expensive replacement.

I was wondering if any of these cheaper options available would work:
LG GSA-T20N
LiteOn DS-8A1P-21C

Anyone know if they are 100% compatible with the iMac G5 20"?

That LG is a slimline tray loader. You want a slot loader.

And all slot loaders are not alike. Some third-party drives have the slot
at not quite the right place for the hole in a laptop's case. I suspect the
same is true for your iMac.

Spend the money and get the replacement drive from OWC or other
reputable Apple vendor.
