iPhone/3G accessibility for visually impaired?

Hi,
I can't read mobile phones, but was curious of whether anyone knew of a 3rd party app coming along (or an inbuilt feature) that would read out each menu/text screen, respond to voice commands (more than just speed dialling), or even zoom the display? I'm keen on seeing if anything like this is in the works, because it would on the simplest level make me be able to easily use an iPod. And I think there'd be more than just me after something like this.

Thanks to anyone who can help,

Nicholas

Re: iPhone/3G accessibility for visually impaired?

Hello Nicholas,

for the iPod there exists Software for visually impaired. Its called RockBox. Take a look at http://www.rockbox.org/

I am searching software to Zoom SMS for the iPhone because my wife only sees about 4%.

If you know anything tell me.

If i can help you tell me too.

You can also reach me on e-mail info@stageweb.net

Would be great to hear from you.

Maybe we find someone that develops anything for the iPhone.

Thanks

Re: iPhone/3G accessibility for visually impaired?

Hello,

i just dropped an email to NUANCE to ask if they plan a new Version of ZOOMS or TALKS for the iPhone.

That would be a great solution...

Hope the will write back.
