Re: Macbook buy now or wait?
I agree that you simply never know with Apple. They are so tight-lipped about their product line. I believe that Intel's announcement of the new chipset will push a new release from Apple within the next couple of months. I am waiting for the new release myself, and then I am buying. Ultimately, there will always be something new around the corner, but it feels better to buy after a release than right before it!

Re: Macbook buy now or wait?
25% off is HUGE for Apple ...pretty much unheard of. So, you did very well. I got my 2.0Ghz Macbook when they first came out 2 years ago.. since then, I've upgraded it to 2GB ram, and upgraded the hard drive to a 250gb (gonna go get a 320gb tonight to put in it, and use the 250 for time machine backups) .. you won't regret your purchase. This was my first Apple computer purchase (I had an iPod Video, but that was it as far as Apple products were concerned), and I am now a devout Apple fanboy. The fact that my laptop is still running VERY strong after 2 years of constant use is great, and far more than any PC based laptop I've ever owned could say. Apple really knows how to make a great product, and they really do a great job of supporting them. Again - congrats!
Not very easily (mine is white).. I have found that those "Mr. Clean Eraser" things work really well to keep the keyboard area nice and clean and smudge-free. Whenever I go on vacation or away for the weekend, I bring it with me, and put it in a neoprene sleeve, then in a laptop carry-bag, so it stays pretty protected.
FYI - this is the bag I got (the small Loft, brown and orange)

and the sleeve I got is this one:

It stays protected really well, and looks good too
