Can you install Leopard on imac intel duo?!

I just got a macbook pro with leopard pre-installed. Thought I would upgrade my old 20" imac duo intel (2006, running 10.4.4) with the discs that came with the macbook but after I have restarted with the disc in and selected the language it says that I can't install OSX.

I've checked the imac specs and it should be fine. Does anyone know what i'm doing wrong? Maybe these discs specifically for macbook pro?

I would appreciate any help :)

Unless you purchase the retail version of leopard, your CD/DVDs are for the Macbook Only.

What you are doing wrong is thinking that a Macbook OS will install on a iMac.

Did you get a install? Or are using the one from another Mac?
