Does a Mac lock an Unlocked iphone back?

Hello

So I start university in a month and was planning to buy the macbook pro 17 inch. I live in India and am using an unlocked iphone. My only worry is that will it lock the iphone back, simply because its an apple operating system? Or is it safe to use an unlocked iphone with a macbook? After taking all necessary precautions like switching the internet off any everything else of course.

Your help is genuinely appreciated

Thanks :)

If you restore the phone the unlock will be gone. But iTunes asks before restoring or updating the phone. As long as you tell it "no" you should be fine.

Also note that the software up to version 2.0.1 has been unlocked. I think 2.0.2 is still problematic, though it wouldn't surprise me if that is unlockable soon.
