Need new spam filter/email client

I've been using a combo of Spamfire 1.6.2 and Eudora 6.2 for years because they meet all my needs. (No mocking allowed. ;-))

I'm now looking to get some new hardware and facing the inevitable conclusion that it's way past time to get some new software made by companies that actually exist. :-)

Here are features I'm looking for in each. Please share any suggestions. Thank you!

SPAM FILTER
  • Ability to check multiple accounts
  • Read messages directly on server so it doesn't trigger "read" to spammers
  • Preview messages in web browser or in spam filter program
  • Auto-updates of spam filters to keep up with current spam techniques
  • Excellent training curve
  • Ability to set my own filters
  • Allow/disallow senders, domains, subjects, keywords
  • Trigger email client after filtering spam
  • Check for mail at user-set intervals
  • Rate spam & allow user to view messages sorted by spam score
  • Add safe senders automatically by importing/reading email address book
  • Ability to rescue messages marked as spam & pass them through to email client
  • Ability to import friends, spammers, filters, etc from Spamfire 1.6.2

EMAIL CLIENT
  • Color code messages (15 colors)
  • Ability to change color codes
  • Sort by Inbox color and date
  • Unlimited new storage folders
  • Grouped sub-folders for storage
  • Filters for routing messages automatically to particular folders
  • (Ideally) Import address book from Eudora 6.2.4
  • Read/import existing folders from Eudora
  • Multiple signatures/From addresses
  • Ability to turn off auto-spam filtering

(end)

Re: Need new spam filter/email client

Yes .. you can set the color of a message .. and use a Rule to automatically do it.

To be honest, I thought SpamSieve to be one of the easiest apps/utils I have ever used. Basically no set up at all - at least with Apple Mail. Maybe you tried a very early version. I would defintely give it another shot.
