To Game on Which OS?

Cheers!

I just recently purchased my MBP and it is still on its way here (boo). However, I have spent some time this past weekend investigating my gaming tendencies and their reality on the Mac. I feel comfortable that I will be able to continue my gaming with even better performance than my dinosaur compac desktop. However, one question has been troubling me and I was hoping the community could answer this.

With OS restrictions aside, am I better off playing my games on my Boot Camp XP or the Mac OS? Am I better off looking for Mac versions of my common games or playing them on native Windows? Will I see a performance difference?

Common games I frequent: WoW, Steam Games (DoD 1.6, TF2, CS, DoD:S), TFT, AoE 3, Starcraft.....

Thanks for your time and input! ( I AM REALLY EXCITED TO MAKE MY SWITCH THE MAC!!!!!!)

Specs -- MBP 2.5 GHZ / 4 GB / 8600M GT

Re: To Game on Which OS?
In a nutshell, Mac ports by companies like MacSoft, Blizzard, Feral, Aspyr, etc. tend to be excellent! The Cider ports by EA aren't as good. I'm a big "AoE III" fan &, IMO, there's no difference whatsoever between MacSoft's excellent Mac ports of the entire "AoE" franchise & the PC versions!

I tend to buy Mac-native where possible, maybe using Boot Camp only if there's no Mac option. That works for me & gives me the satisfaction of knowing I'm supporting Mac developers. Yeah, Mac game prices are relatively higher, but so is the sell-on fee! :)
